These Editor-loved Travel Pants Never Wrinkle

These Editor-loved Travel Pants Never Wrinkle

I’ve officially found the perfect travel pants. While that may sound like an exaggeration (nothing is truly ever perfect, right?), it’s tough to find anything not to love about the flattering and comfy Coalatree Trailhead Pant.

In fact, on a recent two-week trip through Egypt and Jordan, I found myself reaching for these again and again — even over the flowy skirts and linen pants I also packed. So what set these apart for me?

For one, unlike the linen options I’d packed, these pants don’t really wrinkle. We moved hotels numerous times during our trip, and no matter how many times I crammed these pants back into the corners of my favorite carry-on, they were always ready to wear again with a quick shake out. Not to mention they could be shoved into those corners in the first place thanks to how easy they are to roll, fold, or stuff however you please with their flexible nylon material.

Additionally, they are uber comfy and durable, while still being plenty lightweight and breathable. The stretchy waistband and tie closure ankles ensured a flattering fit without them ever feeling tight. Whether I was strolling through museums in Cairo or hiking up to see the stunning monastery at Petra, these pants kept me sweat-free and looking my best. And, from early chilly mornings to beat the crowds at Jordan’s iconic sights, to over 100-degree Fahrenheit days in the Valley of Kings and King Tut’s tomb, these pants proved they were truly all climate (though you’d probably want to layer some long underwear under them for snowy days).

Another pro with these pants is that, while they are called Trailhead Pants and are great for outdoor activities, they’re also cute enough to be dressed up a bit more. I found myself pairing these equally with hiking boots and tees for rugged days exploring the lunar landscapes of Wadi Rum, as well as cute sandals and button-downs for city days. The sweat-wicking, stain- and stink-proof fabric also meant I was able to wear these on repeat while traveling without having to constantly wash them — even after hiking through red sand dunes. It’s safe to say I’ll be packing these on all my future trips.

And, did I mention they are unisex? I was skeptical at first and made my husband try them on one day just to see if the fit would be as flattering for him as it was for me. While my size mediums were definitely too short and tight on his 6-foot, 2-inch frame, it was clear that in the right size, they would be fabulous men’s pants as well.

I opted for the olive green color, but you can choose from seven color options, ranging from black and navy to red.

Priced at $100, the Coalatree Trailhead Pants aren’t cheap, but it’s easy to see why, and I’m certain they will last me for years to come. Hurry and grab a pair while they’re marked down — trust me, you’ll be grateful you have them no matter where your next trip takes you.
