Hyatt Launches Work From Hotel Concept

Hyatt is the latest hospitality company to launch its own ‘work from hotel’ concept across hundreds of its locations in the U.S.

The company will market its hotel rooms and suites to be used as offices since revenue for the hospitality industry remains stagnant throughout the pandemic.

In fact, a survey has found that 71{d54a1665abf9e9c0a672e4d38f9dfbddcef0b06673b320158dd31c640423e2e5} of hoteliers wouldn’t last another six months without additional federal aid as areas implement more travel restrictions.

Without any further government assistance, 47{d54a1665abf9e9c0a672e4d38f9dfbddcef0b06673b320158dd31c640423e2e5} said they would be forced to close their hotels.

Hyatt’s “Office for the Day” program offers users a room with a workspace from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for $65 each day.

Professionals will also have access to the gym or pool, as well as other wellbeing offers such as Headspace meditations through the World of Hyatt app.

The packages are available until May 31, 2021 with cancellation at no charge up to 24 hours before the intended stay.

“By continuously listening to our members and guests, we understand what’s most important them; they are prioritizing wellbeing now more than ever and want more flexibility and creative new ways to avoid burnout,” said Asad Ahmed, senior vice-president of commercial services of Hyatt, Americas.
