Cheeca Lodge & Spa Unveils 43 New Oceanfront Suites

Cheeca Lodge & Spa, one of Florida’s most loved getaway destinations, wants every guest to have the best view in the house. And that’s why it’s unveiling 43 brand-new oceanfront suites for everyone to enjoy.

Located on the island of Islamorada, amid 27 private acres, the luxury resort is the place to be for those who never want to be far from the gin-clear waters or the soft sand beaches. And these new suites allow guests to stay mere feet from it all.

The suites, located in the northernmost building at the resort, offer both king and double queen pillow top bedding and nearly 700 square feet of living space decked out in calming neutral tones set off by pops of tropical color thanks to blue and coral furnishings. Each room also comes with a perfect view of the Atlantic thanks to the floor-to-ceiling doors that open to private patios, which also boast spa tubs.

However, this isn’t the only new thing coming to Cheeca. The brand shared in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure that it also recently open the new The Islamorada Ballroom, a 10,000-square-foot event center, making it the largest ballroom in the Upper Florida Keys.

“This is a monumental moment in the evolution of Cheeca Lodge & Spa,” Paul Scott, the general manager of Cheeca Lodge & Spa, said in a statement. “We are very excited to welcome an entirely new generation of travelers, from those celebrating life’s most memorable milestones to those simply seeking a new and refreshed tropical vacation experience. Our guests, both new and returning, are in for a luxurious getaway that nothing they have experienced before.”

Beyond the new suites, guests can also choose to book one of the resort’s other resort and golf course view rooms, which come with that same zen-like interior decor and breeze-filled spaces thanks to their own private patios. Or, guests can elevate their stay by checking into one of the resort’s 11 casitas, including the two-bedroom Ernest Casita, which is dedicated to the Keys’ most famous resident, Ernest Hemingway.

No matter which room guests choose, they can always take part in the numerous activities offered by the resort or its partners, including a round of golf at Cheeca Lodge’s Florida Keys golf course, a game of pickle ball or tennis, or head out for water sports like snorkeling, paddle boarding, or a day-long fishing charter. Then, head back to their personal sanctuary so they can do it all again tomorrow. Nightly rates for the oceanfront suites start at $769 per night. See more and book your room at cheeca.com
